Domestic production of polyether amine wind power generation materials

In the trend of large-scale blades, wind power blades are required to have complex shapes, high accuracy, uniform mass distribution, and good weather resistance. Correspondingly, the supply side of core materials is also undergoing transformation, and the requirements for material performance are also increasing.
Polyether amine is a high-performance epoxy resin curing agent
Polyether amine (PEA) is a new type of fine chemical raw material, with epoxy propane, propylene glycol, and liquid ammonia commonly used in the PEA manufacturing industry. The active functional group at the end of polyether amine is an amine group, which has excellent comprehensive properties such as low viscosity, long service life, reduced energy consumption, high strength, high toughness, aging resistance, and excellent waterproof performance. Polyether amine, as a high-performance curing agent for epoxy resin, is used to produce high-strength and high toughness composite materials, especially for manufacturing carbon fiber composite materials and large glass fiber composite materials (megawatt level wind turbine blades). At present, it has been widely used in wind power generation, textile printing and dyeing, railway anti-corrosion, bridge and ship waterproofing, oil and Shale gas mining and other fields. The polyether amine manufacturing industry is in a rapid development stage.
The wind power sector has the highest demand for polyether amines
Wind turbine blades have the characteristics of large size, complex appearance, and harsh working environment, which require high strength, toughness, and weather resistance. Polyether amine can meet the manufacturing requirements of large wind turbine blades. 61.6% of the total demand for polyether amines in the wind power industry in 2020. Driven by the national clean energy policy, the new installed capacity of wind power continues to increase, greatly driving the market demand for wind power upstream industries such as polyether amines. In addition, the service life of wind turbine blades is around 20 years, and the upgrading of wind turbine blades can further support the demand for polyether amine products. The demand for polyether amine for wind power will increase from 38300 tons in 2021 to 60700 tons in 2025, with a compound annual growth rate of approximately 12.2% from 2021 to 25. It is expected that by 2025, the sales revenue of polyether amines used in wind power will reach approximately 1.836 billion yuan, with a compound growth rate of approximately 13.1% from 2021-2025.
